Abstract

The bell box includes one metal box 21 screwed to the wall with a further box (10, Fig. 1, not shown) screwed over the top of existing box without physical contact between the boxes. Microswitches 22 are provided on the inner box and are held down by the outer box. The inner box is fitted with heat sensors 16 and the inner and outer boxes are connected to the positive and negative circuits of the alarm system. Thus, if the outer box is removed the microswitches operate to activate the alarm, if heat is applied to the box the heat sensors activate the alarm and if an attempt is made to drill the outer box, the alarm will be activated if the drill hits the inner box. <IMAGE>

Description

HIGH SECURITY BELLBOX This invention relates to a high security bell box Bell boxes are well known security devices, which comprise of a back plate upon which a front cover is placed to form a box which is permanently secured to the wall by four screws and fitted with a micro switch which operates when the front cover is removed from the back plate, or if the back plate is removed from the wall. The box contains a bell or siren self activating unit and battery Bell boxes are, however, relatively easy to overcome by filling with foam or by setting fire to the contents or by removal from the wall A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which:: Figure (1) shows the outer box cover Figure (2) illustrates the inner frame which holds the outer box to the wall Figure (3) shows the lid of the inner box Figure (4) shows the body of the inner box Referring to the drawing of the bell box which comprises of a siren mounted within Box (21) which is fitted with two heat sensors (16) and micro contacts (22) Box (21) is secured to the wall with 4 plastic insulators (20) with raw bolts or similar means (not shown) Lid (18) has grille (15) Box (21) is secured to lid (18) via holes (17) to nuts (19) with bolts or similar means (not shown) The frame (12) is secured to the wall over Box (21) through holes (14) which is secured with four screws or similar fixing (not shown) Outer Box (10) is secured through holes (11) to frame (12) with nuts or bolts (13) or similar means (not shown) Box (21) has not contact with frame (12) or box lid (10). Micro switches (22) are held down by box (10).
A positive connection is fitted to the inner box and a negative is connected to the outer box both of these are connected to the positive and negative circuits of the control panel.

Claims (2)

C L A I M S
1. The High Security Bell Box comprises of one metal box with a further metal box with n@ back mounted over the top. The inner box is fitted with two micro switches, which when the outer box is removed activates the siren which is mounted within the inner box 2. If any attempt is made to drill the outer box and the drill hits the @@@er box the alarm will trigger 3. If any heat is appl@ed to the cuter box exceedine 40 C, when the @@@er rises to that temperature the alarm will trigger.
4. If any attempt is made to fill the box with foam it will only penetrsate the inner void.
5. Any attempt to remove the total outer box or lid only will trigger the siren in the inner box which is still secured t@ the wall. Amendments to the claims have been filed as follows 1. The High Security Bell Box comprises of one metal box with a further metal box with no back, secured separately to the wall over the top.
The inner box is fitted with two micro switches and heat sensors and when the outer box is removed this activates the siren which is mounted within the inner box.
If any attempt is made to drill the outer box, and the drill hits the inner box the alarm will trigger.
If any heat is applied to the outer box exceeding 40 C, when the inner rises to that temperature the alarm will trigger.
If any attempt is made to fill the box with foam it will only penetrate the inner void which is sectionalised. This will mean only one section is filled with foam at any one time and this will not reduce the sound output of the warning device.
2. Any attempt to remove the total outer box or lid only, will trigger the siren in the inner box which is still secured to the wall.
