Abstract
A childs cycle has a frame which is separable into front and rear portions for storage. Different near portions may be attached to convert it to a buggy, scooter (see Fig 4) or snow scooter (with one or more wheels replaced by skid(s)). The main wheels may also be replaced with off-centre wheels for a 'fun ride'. A braking arrangement comprises a circular disc attached to a wheel of the cycle and having a flange raised at 90 DEG around the circumference of the disc. A pair of brake blocks are disposed one either side of the flange and are operated to clamp the flange between them when braking is required (Fig 6, not shown). In the buggy mode, the steering of the front wheel is locked and the axle is mounted in angled slots to provide steering when the occupant leans to one side (Fig J, not shown). <IMAGE>
Description
CHILD'S 5 IN 1 FUN BIKE This invention relates to a childs 5 in 1 Pun Bike.
Childrens cycles are an established toy, comprising of a basic frame with to wheels and pedals to give the child a ride.
Though the cycle has been here for a long time it has not changed to make it more exciting in more ways in one package.
My invention gives the child the scope to change the cycle to a number of other exciting ride along toys, simply by detaching & BR< attaching various other components.
At the same time making the toy so to Pull Apart for carriage in a car boot for example.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with referenceto the accompanying drawings in which:
Fig 1 .Shows the cycle in the form of a road Bike.
Fig 2.Shows alternative wheels.
Fig 3.Shows Cycle in fomm of Buggy Cart.
Fig 4.Shows scooter Attachment.
Fig 5. Shows Snow ski Attachment.
Fig 6.Shows braking System.
Fig 7.Shows Auto steering System.
Reffering to the drawings Fig 1 shows the front & rear sections B & , made into one unit by means of Two securing Bolts & Nuts at point A.
The brake is built into the front wheel which will be explained later.
Fig 2 Shows a set of concentric wheels, these~can be fitted by loseening the wing nuts at point K Fig 1 & simply removing the road wheels and replacing them with the concentric wheels, thus giving the up and down fun ride.
Fig 3.Shows the buggy Cart. By removing the Two bolts from point A (fi g 1) the cycle is split into two halves. Simply attach partE (fig 3) at point A,Secure with same bolts,it is then a buggy cart with auto steering to be explained later.
Fig 4.Shows the scooter attachment. Split the bike at point AFig 1 as previous and attach Fig 4 to C (fig 1).Secure with two bolts as before ,Its now a Scooter.
Fig 5,Shows Snow scooter. While the unit is in the scooter set up
Remove the wheels by losening the wing nuts at point K (fig 1) & BR< 1 (fig 4). Fit the Skis to the same using the bolts supplied at points n (fig 1) & (fig 4).Its now a snow scooter.
Fig 6.Shows the braking system,Which works on the Road bike,FUn bike,
Scooter & Buggy cart. Ihis works by means of traditional rubber brake pads ,fitted to the end of a piece of flat steel(Y FigH ) when the brake handle on the Handle bars is pulled,in turn it pulls the two mounted brake blocks ,mounted on Y,tight together at point W by sliding on the guids Z.
the bloks grip on the brake disc V.
Fig 7.Shows the auto steering. When the invention is in the Buggy cart mode , bolt will be put through drilled hole through steering column at point P (fig 3j Th make the s-teering Fixed to the straight forward position. As the child leans to the right-It turns to the right )hen the child leans to the left ,It turne to the left,by means of a plateat each end of the axle having an elongated hole Diagnaly at 45It As the child leans one side moves up the slot,so the other side the axle moves dozy the slot, which moves one side forward & the other side back making the turniggng.action.
BRAKE OPERATION.
A pressed steel disc with series of holes through.
Back plate on inside of wheel,Nuts and boltsto secure.
Fittings to be clamped to front fork, making it adaptable to any cycle or any wheel of Fun Bike.
