Abstract
A plastic soakaway comprises a cylindrical tank with a flat base with drainage slots cut into the sides and two holes in the top of the tank for connection to the drainage pipes leading from the house fall pipes.
Description
PLASTIC SOAKAWAY
This invention relates to a plastic soakaway. Present existing soakaways are built by digging a large hole in the ground, laying down a concrete base and then brick or concrete block built leaving gaps between the bricks for the water to drain away into the ground. The system is both comparatively expensive and time consuming.
According to the present invention, a plastic cylindrical tank with a flat base and drainage slots cut into the sides and two holes in the top of the tank for connection to the drainage pipes leading from the house fall pipes.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which: Fig. 1. shows in perspective the cylindrical tank with drainage slots in position on its flat base.
Fig. 2. shows the connecting holes to the drainage system.
Fig. 3. shows the end view of the tank.
Claims (1)
1. A plastic soakaway comprises a cylindrical tank with flat base with drainage slots in the cylinder, two holes in the top of the tank adapted for connection to the main drainage pipes leading from the house fall pipes.
