Composite photographs and silhouettes. - For producing composite photographs, particularly kinematographic pictures. a view is taken of an object a against a white background and a diapositive is obtained, the half tones being darkened by increased exposure or other intensifying methods, to form a silhouette a<2>. A copy A<2> is then made of the demonstration film together with the silhouette film A<1> so that a free space a<3> is produced; the composite picture is completed from a combination of this copy with the negative of the object a. A view may be taken against a blade instead of a white background, in which case a negative is taken from the diapositive and is darkened to make the silhouette.
