Abstract

219,780. Kuenzinger, J. G. June 18, 1923. Detachable-rim attachments to wheels; tyre attachments to rims.-A divisible rim comprises two flanged members 5, 9 the former having ugs 7 adapted to enter L-shaped depressions 13 in the latter and engage therein by a rotary movement. The rim 5, 9 is secured on a member 18 permanently secured on the felly 17. Member 18 has a retaining flange engaging one of the rim members, the rim being retained by members 11, secured by nuts on threaded studs 15, a tongue on each member 11 passing through a corresponding slot 14 in member 9 and engaging behind the corresponding lug 7 to lock the parts. Wire spoke and disc-wheel modifications are described in which member 5 forms the wheel rim.
