Abstract

Device for shifting a heavy load relative to a support (27) comprising two double-acting hydraulic cylinder-piston combinations (1, 2). Each cylinder-piston combination (1, 2) cooperates with a fixing element (3, 4) which can be fixed relative to the support (27) and both cylinder-piston combinations (1, 2) are set apart in line with each other, the ends of the respective piston rods (1a, 2a) being connected with a pressure block (12) acting upon the load (13, 25). Each of the cylinders (1, 2) is coupled to a detachable fixing element (3, 4) while each cylinder is enclosed by a tubular guide part (15) coupled to the pressure block (12). Thus tilting of the pressure block (12) is prevented while transfers forces are absorbed by the tubular guide part (15) and the cylinder walls.
