Abstract

A wheelbarrow undercarriage arrangement enables the user to move the wheels to the centre or the ends of the axle by rearrangement of stops or distance pieces. When the wheels are set apart a roller may be fitted to them. <IMAGE>

Description

SPECIFICATION Versatile undercarriage for a wheelbarrow This invention relates to a wheelbarrow undercarriage which provides for the wheels to be fitted apart for stability or together for negotiating narrow paths.
This invention also enables the wheelbarrow to become a roller. According to the present invention, the brackets for attaching the axle to the wheelbarrow are at the ends of the axle. The axle between the brackets is clear for the wheels to slide from side to side. Distance pieces or stops are used to keep the wheels in the required position.
Specific embodiments of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which: Figure 1 shows in perspective a wheelbarrow with the wheels together.
Figure 2 shows a wheelbarrow with wheels apart.
Figure 3 shows a wheelbarrow converted to a roller.
An arrangement of axle mounting which enables the user to obtain the properties of a single wheeled wheelbarrow, a two wheeled wheelbarrow or a roller from one wheelbarrow.

    SPECIFICATION Versatile undercarriage for a wheelbarrow This invention relates to a wheelbarrow undercarriage which provides for the wheels to be fitted apart for stability or together for negotiating narrow paths.
    This invention also enables the wheelbarrow to become a roller. According to the present invention, the brackets for attaching the axle to the wheelbarrow are at the ends of the axle. The axle between the brackets is clear for the wheels to slide from side to side. Distance pieces or stops are used to keep the wheels in the required position.
    Specific embodiments of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which: Figure 1 shows in perspective a wheelbarrow with the wheels together.
