Abstract

217,008. New Garter Foundry Co., Ltd., and Cartwright, T. A. April 27, 1923. Connections for bedstead frames. An oblong member of T section attached to the bed post coacts with a slotted plate, carried by the side rail, having a pivoted locking link to engage the oblong member. In the form shown the part a<1>, a<2> projects from an attachment plate a which may have a lateral flange a<1> to support the end rail c<1>. The coacting member b consists of a horizontal portion bearing the side rail c and a slotted vertical portion b<2> engaging the T-member and held in place by the pivoted latch d. The upper portion of the web of the T-member is removed as at a<4> and the horizontal edge as rounded to form a seating for a correspondingly shaped portion at the upper end of the slot on the coacting member. As an alternative arrangement a flange for the transverse or end rail may be embodied with the slotted portion of the connection.
