Abstract

A Golf Trolly Handle Mitt is a hand mitt with rainproof/waterproof properties without finger or thumb placement and has a body 1 as in figure 1 with an open-ended tubular construction 2 running through the palm of the mitt from side to side fastened and sealed to the sides of the mitt. This tubular construction is slid over the golf trolly handle 3 as in figure 2 allowing the mitt to remain on the golf trolly handle when the hand used to manoeuvre the golf trolly is removed. The entrance to the Golf Trolly Handle Mitt can be used as a storage point for a second mitt. <IMAGE>

Description

SPECIFICATION Golf trolly handle mitt This invention relates to a GolfTrolly Handle Mitt.
The wearing of gloves or mitts during the playing of golf in winter is not uncommon.
The ordinary orcommon type of glove or mitt however does have the inconvenience to the golfer of locating a suitable place to put them whilst making a shot, since weather protective gloves or mitts are too bulkytowearwhilst holdingtheclubto makethegolf shot. The golfer has eitherto place them on the ground, with the possibility of them becoming wet and dirty, or balance them on his club ortrolly.
According to the present invention, there is provided a mitt without finger or thumb placements, made of weatherproof/rain-proof outer materials of synthetic or natural fabric with an inner thermal lining of sheepskin or simulated sheepskin or lining with thermal properties incorporated into which is a means bywhich the mitt can be attached to the golf trolly handle by sliding the golftrolly handle through a tubular construction running from one side ofthe mitt, across the palm inside the mitt, to the other side ofthe mitt. The ends ofthe tube are open but attached to the sides ofthe mitt, both at the top and the bottom, so to ensure the waterproof properties of the mitt.This tubular construction in the mitt enables the hand, being used to push, pull, or manoeuvre the trolly by the trolly handle, to grasp around the so constructed tube which encompasses the trolly handle, and thus enable the hand to remain protected from the elements of the weather.
The hand being used to push, pull or manoeuvrethe trolly is able to be taken out and relocated inside the mitt attached to the trolly handle with ease and convenience. The Golf Trolly Handle Mitt is designed to accommodate in its opening a second mitt, made of the same orsimilarfabric and material, also designed to be waterproof/rainproof, but constructed with a bar of material, across the palm inside the mitt, from one side to the other side, instead ofthe above mentioned tubular construction. This bar enables the mitt to be held on the hand by the clasping of the fingers around it. The location ofthe second mitt into the GolfTrolly Handle Mitt which is in position on the golftrolly handle, helps to preventthe escape of warm air inside it.
Referring to the Drawings, the GolfTrolly Handle Mitt comprises a mittwithoutfingerorthumb features, made of an outer waterproof/rainproof material orfabric, with internal thermal lining as shown in the turned cuff 5 into which has been incorporated atubularconstruction 2open at both ends of the tube but fastened each side of the mitt at the top and the bottom of the mitt. The golf trolly handle 3 is passed through the tubular construction in the mittthussecuring the mitttothe golftrolly handle, and allowing the mitt to remain on the golftrolly handle when the hand is removed.A second mitt 4 can be conveniently stored in the entrance to the Golf Trolly Handle Mitt as in figure 3thus helping to retain some warm air in the GolfTrolly Handle Mitt in preparation for the replacement of the hand being used to push, pull ormanoeuvrethegolftrolly.
Specific embodiments of the invention will now be discussed byway of example with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: Figurel Showsthe GolfTrolly Handle Mitt in perspective Figure2 Showsthe GolfTrolly Handle Mittin position on the golftrolly handle.
Figure 3 Shows the GolfTrolly Handle Mitt in position on thetrolly handle with the second mitt referred to in Line 34 located in its entrance. The Golf TrollyHandleMittisTHUS providing a storage point for the second mitt referred to in Line 34 above, whilst the latter is helping to prevent the escape of warm air from the GolfTrolly Handle Mitt which has been produced by the previous placement of the hand inside it.
1. A Golf Trolly Handle Mitt comprising a rainproof/waterproof hand mitt, without finger or thumb placements, adapted so asto be able to be slid onto the golftrolly handle by means of a tubular construction attached to the sides of the mitt, running through the palm ofthe mitt from side to side and to be releasably secured to the golftrolly handle by this means and the entrance of the Mitt large enough to act as a storage point for a second similar mitt whilst the Golf Trolly Handle Mitt is in place on the golftrolly handle.

AGolfTrollyHandle Mitt as defined in Claim 1 wherein the Mitt is manufactured from an inner thermal lining of sheepskin or simulated sheepskin or lining with thermal properties with weatherproof/ rainproof outer material of natural or synthetic fabric in orderto afford warmth and protection against inclement weatherto the hand placed within it.
3. A Golf Trolly Handle Mitt as defined in Claim 1 and Claim 2wherein a means is provided in the area of the palm ofthe Mitt to enable itto be releasably attached to the golftrolly handle.
4. A Golf Trolly Handle Mitt as defined in Claim 1 and Claim 2 and Claim 3 wherein an open ended tube is constructed in the palm ofthe Mitt, running from one side ofthe Mittthrough the palm of the otherside of the Mitt to provide a means for releasably attaching the Mittto the golftrolly handle.

A Golf Trolly Handle Mitt as claimed in Claim 1 and Claim 2 and Claim 3 and Claim 4wherein the tube construction outlined in Claim 4 is attached at its right and left hand side of the Mitt by sealing by sewing or thermal sealing in order to give full protection from the elements of the wwatherto the hand placed in it whilst clasping the golftrolly handle with the Mitt in place on the golftrolly handle.
6. A Golf Trolly Handle Mitt as claimed in Claim 1 and Claim 2 and Claim 3 and Claim 4 and Claim 5 wherein the entrance to the GolfTrolly Handle Mitt can be used as a storage point for a second Hand Mitt used to protect the other hand from the elements of the weather.

The wearing of gloves or mitts during the playing of golf in winter is not uncommon. The ordinary orcommon type of glove or mitt however does have the inconvenience to the golfer of locating a suitable place to put them whilst making a shot, since weather protective gloves or mitts are too bulkytowearwhilst holdingtheclubto makethegolf shot. The golfer has eitherto place them on the ground, with the possibility of them becoming wet and dirty, or balance them on his club ortrolly. According to the present invention, there is provided a mitt without finger or thumb placements, made of weatherproof/rain-proof outer materials of synthetic or natural fabric with an inner thermal lining of sheepskin or simulated sheepskin or lining with thermal properties incorporated into which is a means bywhich the mitt can be attached to the golf trolly handle by sliding the golftrolly handle through a tubular construction running from one side ofthe mitt, across the palm inside the mitt, to the other side ofthe mitt. The ends ofthe tube are open but attached to the sides ofthe mitt, both at the top and the bottom, so to ensure the waterproof properties of the mitt.This tubular construction in the mitt enables the hand, being used to push, pull, or manoeuvre the trolly by the trolly handle, to grasp around the so constructed tube which encompasses the trolly handle, and thus enable the hand to remain protected from the elements of the weather. The hand being used to push, pull or manoeuvrethe trolly is able to be taken out and relocated inside the mitt attached to the trolly handle with ease and convenience. The Golf Trolly Handle Mitt is designed to accommodate in its opening a second mitt, made of the same orsimilarfabric and material, also designed to be waterproof/rainproof, but constructed with a bar of material, across the palm inside the mitt, from one side to the other side, instead ofthe above mentioned tubular construction. This bar enables the mitt to be held on the hand by the clasping of the fingers around it. The location ofthe second mitt into the GolfTrolly Handle Mitt which is in position on the golftrolly handle, helps to preventthe escape of warm air inside it. Referring to the Drawings, the GolfTrolly Handle Mitt comprises a mittwithoutfingerorthumb features, made of an outer waterproof/rainproof material orfabric, with internal thermal lining as shown in the turned cuff 5 into which has been incorporated atubularconstruction 2open at both ends of the tube but fastened each side of the mitt at the top and the bottom of the mitt. CLAIMS
1. A Golf Trolly Handle Mitt comprising a rainproof/waterproof hand mitt, without finger or thumb placements, adapted so asto be able to be slid onto the golftrolly handle by means of a tubular construction attached to the sides of the mitt, running through the palm ofthe mitt from side to side and to be releasably secured to the golftrolly handle by this means and the entrance of the Mitt large enough to act as a storage point for a second similar mitt whilst the Golf Trolly Handle Mitt is in place on the golftrolly handle.

AGolfTrollyHandle Mitt as defined in Claim 1 wherein the Mitt is manufactured from an inner thermal lining of sheepskin or simulated sheepskin or lining with thermal properties with weatherproof/ rainproof outer material of natural or synthetic fabric in orderto afford warmth and protection against inclement weatherto the hand placed within it.
3. A Golf Trolly Handle Mitt as defined in Claim 1 and Claim 2wherein a means is provided in the area of the palm ofthe Mitt to enable itto be releasably attached to the golftrolly handle.
4. A Golf Trolly Handle Mitt as defined in Claim 1 and Claim 2 and Claim 3 wherein an open ended tube is constructed in the palm ofthe Mitt, running from one side ofthe Mittthrough the palm of the otherside of the Mitt to provide a means for releasably attaching the Mittto the golftrolly handle.

A Golf Trolly Handle Mitt as claimed in Claim 1 and Claim 2 and Claim 3 and Claim 4wherein the tube construction outlined in Claim 4 is attached at its right and left hand side of the Mitt by sealing by sewing or thermal sealing in order to give full protection from the elements of the wwatherto the hand placed in it whilst clasping the golftrolly handle with the Mitt in place on the golftrolly handle.
6. A Golf Trolly Handle Mitt as claimed in Claim 1 and Claim 2 and Claim 3 and Claim 4 and Claim 5 wherein the entrance to the GolfTrolly Handle Mitt can be used as a storage point for a second Hand Mitt used to protect the other hand from the elements of the weather.
7. A Golf Trolly Handle Mitt substantially as described here with reference to Figures 1-3 of the accompanying drawings, originals ofwhich were enclosed with our patent specification.
