Hooks, safety.-A safety hook comprises two members A, B both having hooked portions b, b' relatively slidable with a limited pivotal movement The member B has a flattened portion b<2> near the upper end, sliding between slots b<3> thereon in a slot in the member A. The pivotal movement of the members is limited by the ends of the slot and the stops b<3>. When the hook is loaded, relative movement of the members A, B is prevented by the interengagement of the parts b, b<1>.
