Abstract

A weight indicator comprises a platform on which a person to be weighed can stand, a movable graduated weighing scale 3, indicating means 6 for indicating on the scale the weight of a person standing on the platform, and pointer means 8 arranged to move with the said scale but adjustable relative to said scale, for recording the value indicated on the scale or for indicating on the scale a predetermined weight. Preferably the graduated scale is rotatable and the pointer usually rotates therewith but can be manually rotated relative to the scale to indicate a particular weight on the scale. <IMAGE>

SPECIFICATION Weight watchers scales The basic idea is to record previous weight.
Example 1. Stand on scales, dial reads 10 stone, 2. Hold small knob, 3. Now turn large knob to set new hand to 10 stone, 4. Now both hands are together, 5. Next time you use scales, the new hand will tell at a glance if you have gained or lost weight.
Claims (Filed on 9-11-1983) 1. A weight indicator comprising a platform on which a person to be weighed can stand, a movable graduated weighing scale, indicating means for indicating on the scale the weight of a person standing on the platform, and pointer means arranged to move with the said scale but adjustable relative to said scale, for recording the value indicated on the scale or for indicating on the scale a predetermined weight.
2. A weight indicator according to claim 1, wherein the graduated scale is rotatable past the cursor to give a measure of weight and the pointer is rotatable with the scale.
3. A weight indicator according to claim 2, wherein spring means are provided biassing the pointer for rotation with the scale.
4. A weight indicator according to claim 2 or 3, wherein means are provided whereby the position of the pointer relative to the scale can be manually adjusted.
5. A weight indicator substantially as hereinbefore described with reference to the accompanying drawings.

A weight indicator comprising a platform on which a person to be weighed can stand, a movable graduated weighing scale, indicating means for indicating on the scale the weight of a person standing on the platform, and pointer means arranged to move with the said scale but adjustable relative to said scale, for recording the value indicated on the scale or for indicating on the scale a predetermined weight.
2. A weight indicator according to claim 1, wherein the graduated scale is rotatable past the cursor to give a measure of weight and the pointer is rotatable with the scale.
3. A weight indicator according to claim 2, wherein spring means are provided biassing the pointer for rotation with the scale.
4. A weight indicator according to claim 2 or 3, wherein means are provided whereby the position of the pointer relative to the scale can be manually adjusted.
