Abstract

A camera has a spring-loaded pop-up lamp 10 which is lit automatically in the pop-up position. Lamp 10 is carried by a sliding plate 11 having slots 101 and 102 engaged by camera screws 14 and 15. Pop-up is effected by the action of spring 13 on removal of catch button 18 from aperture 103, and lighting is effected simultaneously by the closing of a battery circuit by means of plate extension 105. The lamp may be used for general purposes as well as for photography. <IMAGE>

Description

SPECIFICATION Camera with lighting fixture This invention is to provide a camera as the principal part subordinated with a set of concealed lighting device in forming a lighting fixture. Using existed battery that had been previously placed in the camera as power source to light up the set of device as well as taking of photo by flipping up the subordinated part and connecting with power source simultaneously. It performs at any appropriate place and time, particularly suitable in use at night for focus adjustment by the user.
Due to rapid improving of living standard, people are far enthusiastic in leisure activities such as outing and camping. In the duration, bringing of an ideal camera to take some fantastic ohotoes for keeping in good memory is a meaningful thing. Thus, a camera is the necessary article in contemporary leisure activities. It is often to see people when outing or camping, except camera, they also bring with a flashlight for general lighting purposes at night, or whenever/wherever in emergency occurence. Hence a camera plus a flashlight are the most indispensable articles in leisure activities.
Nevertheless, it is commonly known that camera and flashlight are obviously two separate things. The manufacturing processes are absolutely different each other. Inconvenient for carry them both, unideal in better performance when desired.
The main purpose of this invention is, to properly place a whole set of concealed lighting device in appropriate space inside the body of the camera, while pressing the button the lighting fixturecombined by the set of device--flips up and the power source is automatically connected in observing of polar ity then light up the fixture in the same instant, all performed by inner mechanical combination.
The next aim of this invention is the selective use of the lighting fixture, to provide the desired necessary function for the camera, or simply use as a flashlight; the range of using is varied according to various time and place to fulfil the appropriate function in appearence The further aim of this invention is the consideration of easy, compact, and handy in carrying, pratical in use, less in volume of dimensions, light in weight, and the most important-inexpensive.
The final-stating purpose of this invention is the lighting fixture does help greatly in adjust ing of focus when photo-taking. It can also be used generally and widely as a common flash light when city-power is off, walking in dark ness, reading if desired, distinguishing of objects, or as a signal light when applicable in light-signal communication.
In order that the nature and property of this invention may be readily ascertained, an em embodiment of the said camera in accordance with the invention is hereinafter particularly described with reference to the figures of the two accompanying drawings, wherein: Figure 1 is an exploded schematic view of the lighting portion of the invented camera.
Figure 2 is a stereo view of the embodiment of the invented camera.
Referring to Fig. 1 in schematic view of the lighting fixture portion, lamp shade (10) in rectangular wherein a lamp is mounted. A drag plate (11) is engaged underneath the lamp shade (10). A rectangular groove (101) is carved at left and upper side of the drag plate (11), another rectangular groove (102) with a round opening (103) on top of this groove is at right and lower side of the drag plate (11). At the bottom of this plate, there is an extruded ear (104) in center position of the plate and extended out downward slightly. A suppression sheet (105) also extended downward but at left side bottom of the drag plate (11).Other accessories are: a spring (12), a pulling spring (13), a pair of fixing screws (14) and (15), a T-Type plate (16) with a proper deflection at a single end for connecting with " + " the positive terminal of the battery, another smaller plate (17) is for connecting with "-" the negative terminal of the battery.
The travelling cources of both two grooves (101) and (102) are well-controlled by the two fixing screws (14) and (15). When the lamp shade (10) goes downward, the round opening (103) receives the catch button (18) to conceal the lamp shade (10) inside the camera case. One single end of the pulling spring (1 3) is hooked on the extruded ear (104) while the other end is hooked on the body of the camera. In this stating, the suppression sheet (105) is arranged not to suppress the end of the T-Type plate (1 69the power current is disconnected.On another hand, if press down the catch button (18), the lamp shade (10) flips up and the power current is connected by the action that the end of T-Type plate (16) is suppressed by the suppression sheet (105) and firmly contacted with " - " negative terminal of the battery, the said fixture is then light up.
Referring to Fig. 2 the stereo view of the embodiment of the lighting fixture at right side of the camera. The camera itself is actually a common typed one. In general, battery to be equipped with for providing energy to control camera shutter, photo speed, also for flashing. In addition, lamp shade (10) together with drag plate (11) are installed in a proper space inside the camera to produce dual functions of photographing as well as lighting illumination for users, with additional merits of easy-carrying, simple operation, and particularly-low costs.
The inventor is a camera manufacturer with years experience in this field. He deeply realizes that if an ordinary camera would consist of a lighting fixture to perform in dual-functioned usages for both flashing when phototaking and general-purpose of lighting would be a marvelous creation. In fact, there is no such a camera appeared anywhere in present market, and then the inventor had stepped in his research, and the invention is accomplished and hereby disclosed.
With all above description, it is apparent that the invention does disclose that, with the inventor's fantastic idea and through his hard in research, it is eventually brought to the fact that a camera subordinated with a light illuminating fixture without applying for extra/exter nal power source yet enables to reach an excellent as well as wonderful effectiveness both in photographing, and in using for general-purposed illumination, to bring a miracle to mankind.

Claims (3)

1. A camera with lighting fixture is constructed by installed a set of concealed lighting device in proper space inside the camera body. The lighting fixture is composed by: a lamp shade, a piece of drag plate, some springs, "+" positive and "-" negative power terminal-plates, etc. major components; using the camera's battery as power source, properly controlled by a catching press-button to flip up the fixture in providing light illumination for either photographing as well as general-purposed illuminating-in dual functions-as the specific characteristic and feature.
2. A camera with lighting fixture as claimed above in 1, the drag plate is provided with both the left and right grooves, at the appropriate lower part of the said plate had connected with an extruded ear and a piece of suppression sheet which are both extended downward, the action of the suppression sheet in making of firm contact with the power current terminals, all are the characteristics of this invention as claimed herewith.
3. A camera with lighting fixture substantially as herein described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
