Abstract

212,600. Longworth, R. H., and Gibson, W. Nov. 8, 1922. Cleaning, fluid-pressure processes for. - A steam-operated air injector for this purpose comprises a central nozzle e, open at both ends to the atmosphere and surrounded by an annular steam nozzle c, the steam being supplied by a passage b, valve p and hollow handle k. A resilient washer w may be placed around the steam nozzle, abutting against a flange u thereon to form a fluid-tight joint when the nozzle as a whole is pressed into and against the end of the tube to be cleaned.
