Bodies; bottoms; jackets.-A kettle body, the sides and bottom of which are of very thin copper or other metal not exceeding .017 of an inch in thickness, is supported with the peripheral flange 2 resting upon the flange 4 of a jacket 3 of stouter material, and held in place by the spinning over them of the flange 8 of the kettle top part 7, which may be also of stout material. The jacket is formed with openings 12 for the escape of hot gases.
