Abstract
209,975. Padmore, H. R., Padmore, S. H., and Padmore, J. L. Feb. 22, 1923. Alloys.-A gold alloy consists of 37.5 per cent of gold, 1.5-13 per cent of silver, 32.4-42.4 per cent of copper, and 12.1-23.6 per cent of zinc, the proportion of silver and zinc together being 20.1-30.1 per cent. The preferred composition is 37.5 per cent of gold, 7.5 per cent of silver, 37.4 per cent of copper, and 17.6 per cent of zinc. The copper and zinc are first melted together, and a separately melted mixture of the gold and silver is then added thereto.
