Filaments; attaching; supports for. - In gasfilled lamps having coiled filaments each end 8 of the filament is disposed around a metal mandrel 11 and together therewith is secured to the conductor 5, preferably by welding. The two conductors 5 may consequently be set farther apart than is usual, and may be curved as shown in Fig. 2 so that their ends are disposed laterally above the filament 6. In the case of a zigzag filament, the bends are supported by hooks 9, 10.
