Petrol and like cans and receptacles, detachably securing to running boards.-A petrol can, bag &c. is secured to the running board h of a motor vehicle by means of straps f which are led through two members a each engaging over the two edges f of the running board without additional fastening means or loose parts. The members a may consist of flat plates stamped from sheet metal and may be cut away or slotted to facilitate engagement of the straps.
