Abstract

Device for use in controlling soil erosion comprising a matrix of cellular concrete blocks (10), having foliage growth passageways (20, 32) therethrough and held together by a series or system of cables (44) or the like passing through internal passageway (22) within each block. The cables are anchored into the ground to retain the blocks in position.
