Washing-machines.-Machines of the kind comprising a rectangular wood frame A supporting a wringer at one end are provided on the two legs B below the wringer with brackets C carrying castors or runners D, which are normally above the level of the floor, so that the machine is rigid, but are brought into contact with the floor, as shown in Fig. 3, when the machine is tilted by lifting the end remote from the wringer. A cross-bar a may be fitted to this end to serve as a handle. The brackets C are open-sided and are secured by screws &c.
