Abstract

A shower bath for caged birds comprises a compartment fitted with a shower rose connected to a pressurised canister containing purified water, the water passing through an overflow in the base of the compartment to a detachable container.

Description

SPECIFICATION Caged bird shower bath The caged bird shower bath comprises of a shower compartment, into which purified water B.P.
is discharged from a pressurized canister, which is connected to the shower rose by a small plastic tube.
Surplus water is collected in a plastic container, which rests on wire hangers below the shower com apartment.
There is also a sound baffle on the underside of the shower compartment to minimise the sound of tile shower water.
The surplus water container rests on two wire hangers, which are held in position by holed projections integrally moulded on the underside of the shower compartment.
Water discharges into the surplus water container via a stand-up overflow on the bottom of the shower compartment.
There is a single hole, which is guarded by an internal baffle in the shower rose. The baffle is to break up the flow of water to prevent discomfort to the bird.
The shower rose is held in position by an adaptor, which also receives a small bore plastic tube that is connected to the nozzle on the pressurized canister.
The shroud over the nozzle is slotted so that the nozzle can be held in an open or shut position.
The pressurized canister is held to the cage by a circular wire clip positioned below the top rim of the canister.
1. A caged bird shower bath comprising a shower compartment, surplus water container and a pressurized canister, containing Purified Water B.P.
The Purified Water B.P. is fed to the shower rose via a small bore plastic tube and a bent adaptor, with an inlet sized for the small bore plastic tube and an outlet sized to receive the spigot end of the shower rose.
Water is discharged into the surplus water container via a stand-up overflow in the shower compartment.
The bottom of the shower compartment is thickened in the middle to form a sound baffle. The surplus water container rests on wire hangers which are held in position by integrally moulded lugs underneath the shower compartment. A removable circular wire clip, positioned below the top rim, holds the pressurized container to the cage.
2. A caged bird shower bath, as claimed in Claim 1,,wherein the surplus water container is held in pos ition below the shower cpmpartment by projecting rims on the top of the two sides. The projecting rims slide into recessed projections on both sides of the underside of the shower compartment. This arrangement is for cages with doors that open side ways.
3. A caged bird shower bath, as claimed in Claim 1, wherein the pressurized water B.P. also contains spray disinfectant.
