Binding-posts. - The outer tubular member b of a telephone plug terminates in a socket b<1> provided with a metal bushing c and an insulating sleeve d through which passes the stem member a. An enlargement a of the stem is provided with two transverse holes e, f, the latter surrounded by an insulating tube g, and an insulating sleeve d<1> which may be integral with the sleeve d. Connection to the tubular member b is made by passing a wire through the hole f and screwing the bushing c outwards so that the wire is clamped between the bushing and the sleeve d<1>. Connection to the stem a is made by inserting a wire into the hole e and clamping it against the other end of the sleeve d<1> by means of a nut h.
