206,985. Cooke, J. E. M. Oct. 9, 1922. Heels.-A heel comprises a core A of plywood lifts upon which is moulded and vulcanized an integral rubber tread-piece and cover B. The lifts are secured together by nails and the heel is attached to the shoe by nails C applied from the inside. The tread is preferably thicker at the back, and the plywood lifts may be stepped.
