Abstract

Object: To permit instant and easy identification of baggage and packages. Equipment: Sets of different shapes in various colours, with an identifying symbol marked thereon, together with a wallet containing one of these shapes and an Instruction Card printed in various languages. Operation: 1) Persons travelling will attach one of these shapes to each case and will carry the wallet on them, when cases are off loaded only a quick glance will be needed to see location of the packages. Should a porter be needed, then the printed instruction card requesting the Porter to look for all packages carrying the symbol as displayed in the wallet and the master shape can be shown to the Porter and all packages can be identified and collected immediately, thus saving much time. Provision is also made for an Identity Card carrying a photograph to be in the wallet for proof of ownership.

SPECIFICATION Baggage identification badge OBJECT To permit instant and easy identification of baggage and packages.
EQUIPMENT Sets of various different shaped and sized materials in various colours, with an identifying symbol, cut out or punched out, or embossed, or painted, or printed or engraved, or a combination of these methods, attached to baggage by various securing devices, together with a wallet containing one of these shapes and an Instruction Card printed in various languages.
OPERATION 1) Persons travelling will attach one of these shapes to each case and will carry the wallet on them, when cases are off loaded only a quick glance will be needed to see location of the packages. Should a Porter be needed, then the printed instruction card requesting the Porter to look for all packages carrying the symbol as displayed in the wallet and the master shape can be shown to the Porter and all packages can be identified and collected immediately, thus saving much time. Provision is also made for an Identity Card carrying a photograph to be in the wallet for proof of ownership, if necessary.
2) The same procedure can also be used for goods in transit by road, rail, air or sea and for stores use.
1. This is a group of discs, of various shapes and colours, bearing a different Alpha or Numeric or Alpha/Numeric coding to create individuality.
The sets are sold complete with a wallet containing a master shape, photograph/identity card, and card in various languages seeking help.
Securing devices are also supplied to attach item to baggage, parcels etc.
2. A registration card is given with the units so that shape, colour and code can be entered in our records to give quick reference to any baggage etc. which is found. The Alpha/Numeric coding also gives complete security of name and address on the travelling public.
