Abstract

An arrangement is provided in a vessel which has a crane mounted on its deck, in which the end of the ship's hull (1) is divided longitudinally into two sections (2) each of which can be pivoted about a substantially vertical axis of rotation thereby removing the obstruction to crane operations which the end of the hull would otherwise present. <IMAGE>
