Abstract
The invention relates to a self- adjusted or boosted brushless excitation arrangement 10, 12 for an electric synchronous generator having a stator 11 and a rotary winding 13 supplied via rectifiers 14 from an exciter winding 12. The exciter stator 10 comprises windings a1, a2, a3 series connected to corresponding windings P1, P2, P3 of each phase of the generator armature 11, and also comprises a no-load excitation or operating winding ev supplied by the voltage of one phase- winding P1 of said generator. The no- load excitation or operating winding ev is such as to generate a fixed alternating field having a number of polar pairs which is the same as that of the rotary field generated by the windings a1, a2, a3 of the exciter stator. <IMAGE>
