Abstract
Surface-coating compositions which air-dry in less than 24 hours under adverse weather conditions comprise an oxidizable organic film- forming resinous vehicle and a drier system which contains (a) an active drier selected from cobalt, manganese, iron, cerium and other lanthanides and (b) an auxiliary drier which comprises bismuth in an amount of 10% to 100% by weight and 0% to 90% of a metal selected from calcium, barium, zinc, zirconium, lead and mixtures thereof.
