Abstract

201,862. Porteus, G. Feb. 20, 1923. Stationary batch-mixers with stirrers carried by endless chains. - In a mixing-machine for granular and pulverulent materials, comprising a V-shaped casing fitted with means for mixing and feeding the material downwardly to a base trough fitted with a discharge worm, the feeding and mixing means comprises a pair of oppositely disposed and converging endless band conveyers. The conveyers 4 are geared together by spur gears 5 and are driven in either direction by a pulley 6, a swivelling damper 7 being provided whereby the materials may be fed to the worm 3 with, or without, a preliminary mixing in the casing 1.
