Abstract

A vehicle transmission with an input shaft 24 co-axial with a prime mover and an output shaft 28 parallel to but offset from the prime mover is intended for mounting at a range of angular orientations with respect to the prime mover to vary the horizontal distance between input and output shafts. There is provision for starter motor mounting on the transmission casing instead of the engine casing to allow different orientations with the same casings. <IMAGE>
