Abstract

Crystalline aluminosilicate zeolites having an SiO2Al2O3 molar ratio of at least 12 and a constraint index between 1 and 12 are prepared from an aqueous mixture containing a compound of an alkali or alkaline- earth metal (M), an Al-compound, a Si-compound, an alcohol (ROH) and ammonia. The compounds are present in the following molar ratios: SiO2:Al2O3>/=12; (M)2/nO:SiO2= 0.01-1.0; H2O : (M)2/nO = 10-500; ROH : Al2O3 = 5-500; ROH:NH3>2. (n is valency of M). The mixture is maintained at elevated temperature.
