Abstract

A display stand, for example for pocket-size books, has a central column (11) and a plurality of intermediate shelves (12), spaced one above the other, on the column. Compartments are formed in the shelves by partitions (16). A number of slots (14) corresponding to the desired number of partition walls (16) is provided in each of the shelves. The slots (14) are aligned vertically so that each partition (16) can extend through the slots from the highest to the lowest shelf (12). A holder device (15) below each slot in the lowest shelf (12a) supports the partition (16). The shelves may be spaced by steel support walls (38 and 39) and the partitions (16) may be of a transparent material. <IMAGE>
