Abstract

The trailer body 7 is resiliently supported at its front end on the chassis 1, and a wheeled undercarriage 2 is pivotally mounted to the chassis at a point off horizontally distanced from the centre of gravity of the body so that part of the weight of the body acts on the tow bar 11. The tow bar has a traction rod 12 with a connecting eye 13 to the tractor vehicle, the traction rod being pivotally mounted to the tow bar about a horizontal axis 15 and resiliently mounted at its rear end 14 to either the tow bar or chassis. The arrangement reduces the transmission of adverse dynamic effects to the tractor when driving over uneven ground. <IMAGE>
