Abstract

A swimming aid comprising an elasticated sleeve (1) to be received on the lower part of a human limb carrying rings of flaps (2) attached thereto which will open up (6) when moved through the water in a propulsion direction and close down onto the sleeve (1) in a recovery direction produced by the swimmer. The flaps (2) may be interconnected by elasticated secondary flaps (4) and/or held against movement beyond 90 DEG by strings leading from the sleeve (1). <IMAGE>
