Abstract

A burner for liquefied petroleum gases (LPG) comprises, mounted coaxially in a combustion air duct 1, a distributor 3 receiving liquefied gas via a fine control valve 4, a nozzle ring 6 connected to the distributor by radial pipes 5, and a flame-stabilising ring 10 mounted on the nozzle ring. The LPG issues from a multiplicity of ports distributed over the downstream side of the nozzle ring, and mixes with the air flowing through the duct 1, downstream of the stabilising ring 10. The latter is associated with air-deflecting blades 11 and may be flat, or of U section with the LPG entering at the base of the U and mixing inside the U with air that also enters through the base of the U. <IMAGE>
