Abstract

A fast automatic connecting hook mounted on at least one implement carrying arm 8 of a three point coupling of a tractor for connecting thereto a shank 1 of an implement. The coupling has a hook body 5 in which is seated a metal ball 2 formed with a slot in its upper side to receive the shank 1. The ball is formed with a flute 2d through which a locking tooth 41 can pivot about a pin 6 in the housing 5 to overlie the slot in the ball and lock the shank therein. The tooth, which has an arcuate end face 4c centred on pin 6, is automatically urged into this locking position by end 3b of a lamina spring 3 located in a groove 5a in the housing 5. The other end 3a of the spring is held by a pin 7 and is inserted in a notch 2a in the ball. A lever arm 42 integral with the tooth 41 is pivoted into the dash line position to move the tooth 41 out of the slot to permit release of the shank 1. <IMAGE>
