Abstract

Apparatus for supporting a tank container or other vessel 2 comprises two support units 1 formed by frame sections 3, tank connector arrangements 4 which provide for load distribution and support assemblies 5 interconnecting the arrangements 4 and the frame sections 3 so that the tank is supported relative to any support or load receiving surface onto which the frames are placed, whereby stresses and strains produced during transportation are minimised. Also heat arrester pads are interposed between the connections between the tank 2 and the connection arrangements 4 to minimise heat transfer relative to the tank through the support units 1. <IMAGE>
