Abstract

The arrangement serves for closing an opening in a housing wall of, for example, a meter and simultaneously provides a sealing effect, this opening serving for its part for reaching through the housing wail for the purpose of setting any type of functional assembly located within the housing. As the sealing element, there is provided a stiff flat lamina (4) which comprises breaking points (12/13) and which is insertable by way of wall-parallel pushing into holding means (2/3) which are formed on the housing wall (1) in the area of the opening (8) to be closed. Suitable locking means (6/10), which are formed on the sealing element and the holding means, prevent a destruction- free release of the sealing element. <IMAGE>
