Abstract
A railway sleeper (Figure 1) consists of two elements 10 and two elements 11, the elements 10 and 11 being joined by three rib plates 12. The sleeper units are laid, turned alternately by 180 DEG , to form a track upon which the rails are laid. Alternatively (Figure 2), a plurality of individual elements 10 are laid as shown and joined by rib plates 12 to form a track upon which the rails are laid. <IMAGE>
