A transport container has an insert (17) for supporting goods to be transported, the insert (17) being mounted for protection against shocks by means of elements (211 to 214, 231 to 234) of rod form which extend from the insert (17) and are supported elastically relative to the container by elastic liners (14) of, for example, foam material shaped to provide a central cavity (16). <IMAGE>
