Abstract
The engine is connected through pylon 11 to an aircraft wing by a mounting in which the engine thrust X is transmitted to the pylon by two links arranged at opposite sides of the engine and lying in a plane oblique to the engine axis D. The ends 26 of the links nearer to axis D are pivoted to engine casing 22 whilst the other ends 27 are connected to the ends of a bellcrank lever 28 itself pivoted at 28A to strut 18 pivoted to pylon 11. Bending of casing 22 in the horizontal plane places the two oblique links respectively into tension and compression and results in corresponding pivoting of lever 28. <IMAGE>
