Abstract

The valve comprises a valve disc having an annular sealing surface near its periphery, a flat annular seat provided in a housing accommodating the valve and actuating means for opening and closing the valve. The seat (13) includes a flexible membrane (16) integral with a bellows (17), the interior of which communicates with a fluid passage (11). After engagement of the disc sealing surface with the seat (13) the fluid pressure is admitted along passage (11) to sealingly press the membrane (16) against the disc. <IMAGE>
