Abstract

200,986. Smith, H. E. May 30, 1922. Atmospheric gas burners.-A burner for petrol gas and the like comprises a perforated tube 22 provided with a metal gauze or perforated metal partition 26, extending longitudinally and separating its perforated from its unperforated part. One end of the tube is closed by a screw-cap 25 and the other is screwed into the enlarged end of a supply pipe 24, the gaseous mixture burning in the surface of the partition 26 adjacent the openings 23 through which the flame issues. Wire gauze sheets 27 may be secured transversely in the tube by means of spring rings 28.
