Abstract

An encapsulation for an electrical component (4), e.g. a capacitor includes a housing (1) closable by a lid (2) adapted to snap into a groove (12) formed in the inner wall of the housing (1), with the electrical conductors (41) of the component (4) extending through apertures in the lid (2). The lid has a number of snap members (21) spaced around its lower periphery for engagement with the groove (12) and a number of snap members (22) spaced around its upper periphery for use in retaining an electrical connector element (3) on the top of the lid (2). <IMAGE>
