Abstract

A printing or duplicating aid comprises a sheet of processed colour printing paper, e.g., print or transparency, which has a repeated- coloured image array in which each image is of equal density but differs from the adjacent images by a known colour filter increment and the array contains a correctly colour-balanced image, the images being identified on the sheet or on an accompanying chart, preferably a transparent overlay, by colour balance information. This aid is used in colour printing when a first printing or duplication from an original is made so that the appropriate colour filtration can be selected for a second printing or duplication from the original.
