Abstract

A gas-operated motor system of the stored energy type has the gas exhausted from the motor 501 ducted to a chamber 529/530 during operation of the motor and thereafter compressed back into the gas reservoir vessel 502. Recompression may be achieved e.g. by providing the exhaust gas chamber 529/530 with a movable piston 520/521 driven by electric motor 525, or by running the motor 501 in the reverse mode as a compressor. <IMAGE>
