Abstract

A device for mixing two gases comprises a passage constituted by a nozzle 12 for the first gas and a tube 18 with one or more apertures 28 along its length for the second gas. The tube is located in the passage at right angles to the flow F of the first gas. In a preferred embodiment a tube 48 with apertures 68 is enclosed within the gate 40 of a gate valve whereby both the passage and the aperture(s) of the tube are exposed progressively as the gate is opened to permit a constant gas mixture whatever the total volume of gas flow. <IMAGE>
