Abstract

A noise-reduced imprinting deck is disclosed for use in a postage meter system. The imprinting deck 15 and a postage meter are mounted on a central frame member 19 that is shock and noise isolated. The connections between the movable deck 15 and the central frame 19 are leaf springs 22. The leaf springs allow for a highly flexible deck movement, while eliminating relative movement between the deck and the central frame support connections. The elimination of the relative movement between the deck support and the deck connections greatly decreases the noise output of the imprinting deck. <IMAGE>
