Abstract
Stable, aqueous dyestuff or pigment compositions, which are non- migrating, highly concentrated, low in dispersing agent, finely dispersed and free-flowing contain (a) 30 to 60% by weight of one or more dyestuffs or pigments, which are slightly soluble to insoluble in water and which have an average particle size below 10 mu m (microns), (b) a water-soluble salt of an acid resin which is a maleate polymer or copolymer, (c) a water-soluble, non-ionic dispersing agent, (d) one or more substances which lower the freezing point, and (e) water. They can additionally contain a low molecular weight, water-soluble, anionic dispersing agent in an amount of at most 5% by weight and/or formaldehyde and/or fungicides. The compositions are suitable for dyeing or printing natural or synthetic textile materials and can be applied either directly or by transfer printing using a transfer material.
