Abstract

Apparatus for layer palletising containers, for example bottle crates, comprises a loading device disposed in a frame 10 movable horizontally between a layer forming station 3 and a pallet loading station 6, in opposed guide bars 8, 9 displaceable vertically on uprights 1. One guide bar 9 extends only over the layer forming station 3 whereas the other guide bar 8 extends over both stations 3, 6. A loaded pallet can thereby be moved out of the loading station 6 in a direction away from and transverse to the bar 8 even when the bars 8, 9 are in a lowered position. <IMAGE>
