Abstract

A connection between a vehicle axle (1), more particularly the axle tube of a rubber suspension axle, and a longitudinal member (2) of a vehicle chassis, for example for a vehicle trailer, comprising a flange (3) mounted on the end region of the axle perpendicularly thereto and an associated flanged portion (4, 5, 6) of the longitudinal member. A web (5) of the flanged portion is provided with an opening (10) through which the axle extends and which also extends through a bottom flange (6) of the longitudinal members (2) and is bridged by a bottom flange (9) of the axle flange (3). The axle flange (3) and the longitudinal member (2) have frusto-conical telescoping sectioned portions (12, 13) surrounding flange holes (14) and adapted to absorb the tensile or bending stresses. <IMAGE>
