Abstract

In a radial tubeless tyre, for use in combination with a 15 DEG tapered drop centre rim, the outer surface of each tyre sidewall, in radial section and in the portion extending from the maximum width part to the respective bead heel 13, does not have a concavity. Preferably the surface in the portion is convex or comprises a convex portion and a rectilinear portion. Each bead region includes a rubber cushion layer of substantially uniform thickness. A mould for, and a method of, making the tyre are also disclosed. <IMAGE>
